2020 State Tournament

Dear Wisconsin Odyssey of the Mind Family,
Unfortunately, due to this year's COVID-19 virus, we will be canceling our scheduled state tournament at Madison College. Our number one priority at the end of the day is to find a way to honor all the hard work both kids and coaches have done while ensuring that everyone is safe. Therefore,  we will be conducting our tournament online this year. Although this isn't ideal and certainly can't duplicate the energy and excitement of the actual event, hopefully it will still allow each team to showcase their creativity, hard work, and talents.

Below, you will find the instructions to compete in the first ever Wisconsin Odyssey of the Mind Online State Tournament. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any help you may need. You can contact me through either wisconsinodysseyofthemind@gmail.com or archiebarribeau@gmail.com. We can even then set up a call to help you through the process. 

We will have the tournament open for a two week period starting today until Friday, March 27.  Hopefully, this will give teams plenty of time to coordinate to make a video of their team's solution and find a time to do their spontaneous problem. We will then judge, score, and present the results to everyone. We will send awards and also keep everyone updated on the status of World Finals.

Again, thank you for all you have done for making Odyssey of the Mind possible in the state of Wisconsin. We appreciate all of you and wish everyone safe.

Long Term  Problem
​Submission Instructions

Submit a Video of  Your Solution
The recording must be continuous, with no cuts, edits, or movements of the camera location.
Single Camera Focus
The focus must remain constant with the camera focusing on the entire performance.
Team Video Guidelines
Teams should follow their particular problem's time limit. Following their performance, teams also most include a one minute explanation of parts of their solution they deem important to help judges understand how things created, engineered, or developed (one minute limit).
